Lesson 3

Page history last edited by Anonymous 1 yr ago

Now that we have reached lesson three, we can really get serious. In this lesson, we will learn the counterparts to eta and ono, nik and dik. Nik and dik are the exact same as eta and ono, they are just used in the object. For example:

Laf a nik foli.: It is me.

Ono a feneja nik foli.: You are my dog.

Cé laf o ozata dik foli?: Is it your book?

Now that we have got that down, how about we add a new verb? Our new verb is kuifé, meaning “to like”. For example: “Eta okena dik kuifé” means “I like your cat.” If you want to ask someone what they like, you would simply say “Io ono kuifé?”.

The next topic to tackle is how to make a word plural. It is actually really simple, you just have to add –x onto the end of the word. For example:

Feneja eta: my dog

Fenejax eta: my dogs.

Now then, since we know how to make a word plural, why not learn how to say that you like more than one thing, say you like dogs and cats. Well, for that you need “lini”, which translates to “and”.

Ono a fenejax lini ozatax kuifé.: You like dogs and books.

Well, that’s it for lesson three. I decided to let you off easily because Review Three is, shall we say, comprehensive, because you have a test right after it! Good luck, and I’ll see you for Lesson Four!
